GETTING IT DONE THE RIGHT WAY FOR DAVIS COUNTY
Achievement Awards representing Davis County Clerk / Auditor Steve Rawlings and his staff's commitment to excellence are on display in his office (see award cabinet at left). This commitment is not just occasional or periodic, it is perpetual. Steve has personally earned the C.G.F.M. (Certified Government Financial Manager) Certificate from The Professional Certification Board of the Association of Government Accountants. This certification is vital for an elected government auditor.
In addition, year after year (a stunning accomplishment), Steve and his office have earned the "Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting". This difficult to achieve award is issued by the Government Finance Officers Association. Under Steve's direction, Davis County has earned this distinguished certificate for the last 16 years. Only three of twenty-nine (3/29) counties in the State of Utah have ever received this award. To you, the taxpayer and voter, this means your money is being watched closely, audited transparently and properly, and that department and other elected officials must spend it according to prudent policy.
